Are you thinking about looking for work or continuing your studies abroad?

Do you have a pile of paperwork to do, including arranging sworn translations?

One requirement you can’t avoid is the sworn translation of your university degree.

Don’t be afraid! It’s easier than you think, and today I’ll explain everything you need to know to obtain it quickly and easily.

What is the sworn translation of a university degree?

First of all, let me explain the difference between a sworn translation and a “normal” translation. A sworn translation is produced by a sworn translator-interpreter accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, and must be stamped and signed by the sworn translator. A non-sworn translation, however, can be produced by “any” translator.

To make this easier to understand, it could be said that a sworn translator is a kind of notary translator. He or she certifies that the document translated is a true reproduction of the original document. A sworn translation is official and legally valid.

How can I get my degree translated?

The procedure is easy. All you need is the following:

  • Send us your original degree scanned on both sides (or a clear photo of it).
  • Indicate the date by which you need it, in case you’re in a hurry.
  • Give us your postal address so we can send you the physical document.

How much does the translation of a degree cost?

We can’t give you an exact figure for the price of translating your university degree because it depends on several factors, such as the language combination, the number of words, or the urgency. To give you an idea, however, it might cost between 35 and 70 euros (there are always exceptional situations).

If you want the exact price for translating your degree, write to us, no strings attached, at [email protected] and we’ll reply in just a few minutes.

Other documents you might want translating

Have you found out which other documents you’ll need abroad?

We’ll give you a short list of the documents normally needed by those who have their university degree translated. If you can have all the necessary documents translated at the same time, this will save you time and a good few headaches.

You will often be asked for your academic record translated into the official language of the country where you are going to study.

  • Translation of your CV

Having your CV translated is almost obligatory if you intend to work abroad. It’s obvious that, however well you speak a language, you’ll never write it like a native speaker, and that will close a lot of doors during the selection process.

Do you want to give a professional, meticulous image? Don’t hesitate and have it translated by professionals.

We have sworn translators in over 30 languages at Núria Masdeu Translations. Simply send us the aforementioned items and you’ll receive a quick, transparent quotation.

Furthermore, if you’re under the age of 25, we want to be considerate with your finances and needs. We’re therefore offering a discount on the translation of your university degree. What are you waiting for? Write to us at [email protected] and forget the tedious paperwork.
